Merchant & Gould, one of the nation's best-in-class intellectual property law firms, is seeking an experienced attorney to join our Chemical & Life Sciences practice group.  This is a hybrid position that can be located in any of our offices.

The ideal candidate is a pre-2020 law school graduate with at least 1-4 years of small molecule pharmaceutical product experience, including preparing and prosecuting patent applications, and assisting in or drafting opinions. Candidates must have a chemistry undergraduate degree, and a PhD or masters in organic chemistry is strongly preferred but is not necessary if the candidate has pharmaceutical industry experience.

Our associate compensation structure has two components:
  1. a base salary (based on an 1850 billable hour target)
  2. a discretionary merit bonus based on performance. Depending on the experience level of the candidate, the hiring range is $200k - $280k.
